    ELECTION OF PONY CLUB VICTORIA VICE PRESIDENT 2017-19

    Two nominations for Vice President have been received so a vote will be conducted. Clubs are the voting members of PCV, voting forms will be out soon!

    ELECTION OF PONY CLUB VICTORIA VICE PRESIDENT 2017-19

    Two nominations for Vice President have been received by the due date therefore a vote for Vice President of Pony Club Victoria (PCV) will be conducted.  We encourage all clubs to participate in the vote for the position of PCV Vice President.

    Candidates:  Peter Favaloro & Tracy Hosier

    In the next week your Club will receive in the mail a VOTING FORM and RESUME of each candidate for the position of PCV Vice President.

    Your Club is the voting member of Pony Club Victoria. 

    It is recommended that your Pony Club Committee decide as a group which candidate they wish to vote for and record this as a motion in your Club minutes.

    Vice President Announcement

    The successful candidate will be announced at the PCV Annual General Meeting on 14th October 2017.

    Current Occupation: Dentist

    Number of years in Pony Club: 20

    Positions Held in Pony Club: President Buchan Pony Club 2002 – present. Treasurer East Gippsland Zone 2001- present

    What skills do you feel you bring to the organization in your nominated role? I have had experience in running and managing my own business for 30 + years, and have also been on boards and committees for groups or organizations over many years.

    What experience have you had with other voluntary Board/Committees outside of Pony Club? Bruthen Primary School Council President for 10 years. Bruthen Mechanics Institute Secretary-Treasurer 33 years. Tambo Water Board 10 years. Also committee positions with Bruthen Football Club. Both Bruthen and Buchan Recreation Reserve committees.

    What do you hope to achieve for Pony Club in your nominated role? To help bring the Governance review to a satisfactory conclusion. To help develop an achievable master plan for the Pony Club Victoria Equestrian Centre. To help the organization appear more relevant and thus halt the decline in membership.

    What would you say is the best thing about Pony Club? The best thing has always been its emphasis on horsemanship, so that children learn to care for their horses, so that riding is an enjoyable experience for both horse and rider.

    Other interesting facts about you! I have three daughters who all attended Pony Club and still enjoy horses and riding. I bought an old hotel 37 years ago and am still renovating it. I am one of a dying group – a stamp collector!

     

    Tracy Hosier

    Current Occupation: Facilities Manager

    Number of years in Pony Club: 18

    Positions Held in Pony Club: District Commissioner 5 years; NMZ VP 5 years, Nationals Co-ordinator 6 years.

    What skills do you feel you bring to the organization in your nominated role? Grass roots club knowledge and experience. Event organization. Extensive knowledge of PC from a Club, Zone, State and National level. Commitment to PC core values and success therefore.

    What experience have you had with other voluntary Board/Committees outside of Pony Club? Yarra Glen and Lilydale Hunt Club committee member; Eastern Region Adult Riders VP and President. OH & S Chairperson. Nillumbik Recreational Trails Committee member. Preschool secretary (a long time ago!)

    What do you hope to achieve for Pony Club in your nominated role? Better cohesion across the zones. Improved relationships between various groups. Continued development of the Pony Club Victoria Equestrian Centre. Bringing some fresh eyes to the association to ensure its relevance into the future.

    What would you say is the best thing about Pony Club? Commitment and dedication from some hard working individuals. Community and values for young riders. Horsemaster programs. Opportunities for riders at all levels.

    Other interesting facts about you! First Pony Club was in Zambia. Hunted with YG & LHC for 16 years. Life member of Eltham District H&PC. Huge fan of ‘Escape to the Country’ and ‘Grand Designs’ – clearly I need to win the lottery!
